Former UConn Volleyball alum Raftyn Rignell joins the show all the way from Minnesota. She was a competitor and tremendous athlete from the start playing on the high school varsity team in 7th grade. Also, she excelled in basketball where she went to the varsity squad in 9th grade. Being tall and athletic, she was recruited mainly from club volleyball where she had other teammates who played at the Division 1 Level.
Raftyn, determined to play at the highest level and leave Minnesota, packed her bags to come to UConn, committing after her official visit. She played well after coming back from two major injuries and ended up being a double major. We all had fun together hanging out and are excited for October 5th to see everyone again after decades!
She coached and is now a star influencer on social media, most noticeably Instagram. Her content is incredible, from showing projects she has done at home with her husband, to being a mom who is fun, entertaining, and down to earth. Married with 3 kids, close with her entire family and living in the same town, I am thrilled to see her success. Raftyn took a chance in 2019 and bet on herself, that drive with such a strong competitive spirit, combined with her passion is why she is continuing to grow her brand.
