A special Husky Talk where we honor and pay tribute to former teammate Adam Coles. He was a magnetic, charismatic, special person who we all love and miss.
Sadly, we lost Adam in 2019 and several of his close friends came on the show to talk about how they think of him every day. Adam was an incredible talent from the start of his UConn career becoming a freshman All American and he never looked back, still holding records to this day.
In this episode we discussed sensitive issues regarding mental health, predominately suicide. It's advised that if this topic is disturbing, please listen with caution and self-care.
I am aware the topics discussed on the show may have been triggering. I advise if any of our listeners feel the need to speak about those feelings, please reach out to your support network, or dial 988, the national suicide and crisis hotline, where a therapist will be on call to speak to you.
I will let the episode do the talking for itself. If you would like to donate, Venmo @Husky-Talk, last 4 digits 9729. All donations will be given to the American Foundation For Suicide Prevention in Adams name. We will announce how much was raised and donated at the end of the week. Adam's smile and personality will never be forgotten. I hope this episode did justice in paying tribute to honor him.
