After trading draft picks and signing him to a monster contract, Mr. Wells can’t believe they are moving on still owing Wilson 39 million and eating a salary cap hit of 85 million.
Andrew believes the franchise tag is ridiculous. The NFL is the only league that has it. After being drafted players are signed to 4 year contracts with a 5th year option. Then can be franchised for a year, Kirk Cousins was franchised two years. Players don’t hit free agency early enough and the average NFL career is barely 3 seasons.
